Buckwheat Pancake with Blood Orange Sauce

Good Morning all! It's a frigid Tuesday morning here and I've decided that perhaps you might want a really delicious breakfast recipe, some good old fashioned comfort food perhaps? So on this health journey we sometimes find ourselves running out of foods to eat. But there are a plethora of amazing dishes to create and you can definitlely recreate some of your old favorites with a healthy twist. Be sure to let me know how your turned out.



1 Cup Buckwheat Flour

1/ Cup GF Flour

1 Tbsp egg replacer or 1/2 Cup Applesauce

1 Tbsp Carob powder

1/4 Cup Honey or Agave Syrup

1/ tsp Sea Salt

1/2 Cup Almond Milk

1tbsp Coconut Oil


Mix ingredients until smooth

Place skillet or frying pan on stove (medium heat) add coconut oil

Pour mixture on pan and flip when edges are browining


2 Blood oranges (slced and peeled)

1/ 2 Cup Honey, Stevia or Agave

2 drops DoTerra Wild orange


Boil 1/2 cup of water

Place chopped oranges in boiling water

Add Sweetner

Add 2 Drops of DoTerra Wild orange

Boil to a reduction

Remove from stove and puree sauce

Let cool and serve
